KEROUAC’S ROAD:

WE RECENTLY COMPLETED GRAPHICS AND VISUAL EFFECTS ON VENTURELAND’S
KEROUAC’S ROAD: THE BEAT OF A NATION FOR UNIVERSAL PICTURES.

WORKING CLOSELY WITH EDITOR PAUL TREWARTHA, OUR ROLE WAS TO SUPPORT HIS ASSEMBLAGES OF
NEWSPAPER AND MEDIA SEQUENCES, LOWER THIRDS AND CAPTIONS, AS WELL AS DO A WIDE ARRAY OF VFX FIXES/CHANGES TO FOOTAGE.

IN ADDITION TO THE GRAPHICS SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE FILM, WE ALSO CONTRIBUTED A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF VFX, CHANGING DETAILS WITHIN SHOTS, REMOVING REFLECTIONS, REPLACING SCREENS, HIDING MIC LIGHTS AND CAMERA STANDS.

REBUILDING AN OPEN/CLOSED SIGN
IN ORDER TO CORRECT AN ONSET OVERSIGHT, WE CHANGED AN OPEN/CLOSED DOOR SIGN SO IT WOULD
APPEAR CORRECTLY (OPEN) FOR MATT DILLON, AS HE ENTERED THE RECORD SHOP. WE ALSO REPLACED THE FRAMED BOB DYLAN POSTER, IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE THE REFECTIONS OF ORIGINAL OPEN SIGN.

CHANGING THE BUS’ DESTINATION SIGN FROM PORTLAND TO NEW ORLEANS.
ONCE WE HAD THE NEW TYPE MATCHED, WE THEN HAD TO TRACK AND MATCH COLOUR AND LIGHTING/SHADOW CHANGES,
AS WELL AS REMOVING, AND THEN REPLACING FILM GRAIN

CHANGING JOSH BROLIN’S PHONE SCREEN IMAGES
WE REPLACED EACH OF THE IMAGES WE SEE ON THE PHONE SCREEN, MATCHING SCROLL SPEED, ROTOSCOPING BROLIN’S FINGERS, AND MATCHING ORIGINAL SCREEN REFLECTIONS.
